Administration for Ouest-de-la-Montérégie recently launched two major calls for tenders which will make it possible to begin work on the entire roadway this fall between the existing A-30, in Saint-Constant, and A-15, in Candiac.
The bids were opened for the two mandates and the work will be awarded in the coming weeks.
From the 30/30 interchange to chemin Agritex
The first mandate is estimated at $43 M, and involves the construction of the roadway and bridges for Autoroute 30 between the 30/30 interchange and chemin Agritex (about halfway through the southern route) over a distance of approximately 5.5 km.
The contract will be awarded shortly and work will begin in September. The project will continue until 2010.
From chemin Agritex to the 15/30 interchange
The second contract will also commence in September. It involves the construction of concrete cement slabs for the 15/30 interchange and the construction of the roadway between chemin Agritex and the 15/30 interchange in Candiac.
Structures will be built to span rivière à la Tortue, montée de la Saline, the Canadian Pacific railway, and chemin de la Petite-Côte. Provisions must also be made for chemin Saint-François-Xavier to cross over A-30.
The work is estimated at $60 M and will also be completed in 2010.
